Written for parents, caregivers, educators, and anyone who supports families and children, this book provides cutting-edge research and "how to" practical strategies to support the communication and language development of all children, organized in an A-B-C format.

There is no wrong way to use this book – a busy parent or educator can open the book to any letter of the alphabet and delve into that topic (e.g. 'Books', 'Delays' or 'Infant-directed Speech'), select topics that are most relevant to them and focus on the 'What You Can Do' practical strategies and tips, on yellow-bordered pages, or focus on the 'What the Science Tells Us' sections on blue-bordered pages, that provide an overview of current research on the topic.
